I'm realizing that it's going to be a busy few days and weeks ahead. Could be great though, especially if good news comes through from a few people in particular (speaking of potential shooting opportunities here).

First on the block is the old Weston crit, going down tonight at 7 sharp. Tomorrow night its SRez at the new House of Blues in the city, then on Thursday it's Mike C at the Draft. Friday I'm off to the BKL Festival, and Sunday to Taos, hopefully for some sweet pow skiing (speaking of pow skiing, check this out) ,and potentially some shooting.
The following week I've got the J2 festival lined up, and hopefully another gig that I'm not mentioning for fear of jinxing it.

Justin here didn't get the win he wanted at Craftsbury this year, but he did win the Fox Trot Eastern Cup this past weekend, which I guess that's reason enough to get his picture up. Gotta get these guys to stop posing with their skis though - it's not a sponsor plug...

One final note, speaking of winning, must mention my former SMS room mate Gus Kaeding. This weekend in the Birkie classic he managed to beat Bjorn effing Daehlie in a sprint to the finish for the win.
I don't know who Johnny Klister is, but I think he pretty much summed it up.

It's been a fun week of microbiology homework, with a pretty solid Tuesday night showdown sprinkled in. More on that at some point I suppose.
Until then you can chew on the results of the Fasterskier photo contest.
btw this is Brayt at Craftsbury.

Last shot from Craftsbury.

Up in Stowe now, and I lucked out with another day of fantastic skiing today at Trapps. Looks like it'll be warming up for the races tomorrow and Sunday, but there's plenty of snow to go around and the trails are in perfect Trapp Family Lodge form.
It's nice to see some top skiers here in the East, and hopefully the trend will continue. The new NENSA and Craftsbury Elite Training Program & Racing Team looks like it might be a nice addition to the New England racing scene, and hopefully more of these SuperTour and other big races will continue to make stops in the area.

Must get the seamless closer to the finish line if these shots are gonna work. It also helps if people are tired when they finish races, which Kris obviously was not. Maybe next year Craftsbury can lobby for a few more top-50 in the world skiers and really make this thing interesting...
